Santa Cruz Turtle Breeding Center
On Santa Cruz Island, the Fausto Llerena Center allows you to observe species of Galapagos tortoises from different islands and they are kept until they are 2 to 3 years old when they are released into their natural habitat.
What should you know?
It is characterized by being a wildlife rescue center and one of the most important tourist places on Santa Cruz Island in the Galapagos archipelago.
Its Climate: 22 ºC (Tropical - Warm season) January-June and 18 ºC (Garúa - Cool season) June-December.
Opening hours: 7:30 a.m. – 17:30 p.m.
Location: It is located in the Galapagos National Park Directorate, on Charles Darwin Avenue, at a distance of 1 km east of the Gus Angermeyer tourist pier, taking a 40-minute walk, The attraction is part of the network of visiting sites of Playa Ratonera and Playa de La Estación.
Entry cost: With a guide it is $10.00 (The payment is to have a guide for the entire route of the Fausto Llerena breeding center)
Admission to the station beach and the ECCD exhibition hall is free.
